Combine the white wine, vodka, lemon juice, and honey in a large punch bowl.

Add the fresh ginger, peeled and sliced, along with a cored and sliced apple, and an untreated lime cut into slices.

Stir the mixture well until the honey is completely dissolved.

Allow the punch to sit for an hour to infuse the flavors.

Just before serving, top with sparkling wine and serve over ice. Henkell trocken is an excellent choice for this.

Garnish the punch glass with mint, lime, and orange zest for a decorative touch.
