Chill the Hurricane glass with ice cubes.

Add the cane sugar, pineapple juice, cachaça, and orange juice to a shaker.

Shake the mixture thoroughly.

Pour the shaken mixture into the chilled Hurricane glass, omitting the ice from the shaker.

Add passion fruit syrup to the glass and gently stir.

Optionally, garnish with a slice of orange before serving.
