Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Chill a cocktail coupe to prepare it for serving.

Prepare an orange zest twist to use as a garnish.

Combine the cognac, Ferrand Dry Curaçao, optional sugar syrup, orange bitters, and egg white or Fee Foam in a shaker with ice.

Shake the mixture thoroughly and then strain it back into the shaker, discarding the ice.

Dry shake the ingredients to emulsify.

Fine strain the cocktail into the pre-chilled coupe glass.

Express the orange zest twist over the cocktail to release its oils, then garnish the drink with the twist.
