Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water and setting it aside.

In a mixing glass, combine the herbal liqueur and Cynar.

Add water to the mixing glass.

Incorporate 2 dashes of orange bitters.

Fill the mixing glass with ice, then stir the mixture until well-chilled.

Discard the ice water from the martini glass.

Strain the chilled mixture into the prepared martini glass.
