Spicy Red Gorbatschow

Pre-chill a shaker and a white wine glass with ice cubes.

Remove the ice cubes from the shaker and muddle the ginger inside.

Add the vodka, cherry brandy, cinnamon syrup, lime juice, and cranberry juice to the shaker. Add fresh ice cubes and shake vigorously.

Discard the melted ice from the glass and double strain the cocktail into it using a strainer and a fine mesh sieve.

Garnish the cocktail with a twist of lemon zest.
