Use honey syrup made with 3 parts honey to 1 part water by weight for its listed portion.
Use these specified component styles: Pimento bitters.
Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.
Stir the straight rye whiskey, amaro, honey syrup, pimento bitters, and saline solution with ice until well-chilled.
Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled Old Fashioned glass filled with ice, preferably using a large cube or block of ice.
Serve with no garnish.
