Keep the ginger beer separate. Mix 16 oz Scotch, 4 oz lemon juice, 2 oz amaretto, 2 oz maple syrup, 1/2 tablespoon blackstrap molasses, 1/2 tablespoon sugar and the listed cinnamon in a bottle a few hours ahead. Shake until the sugar and molasses dissolve.
For one drink, pour 3 oz of the prepared punch over fresh ice and finish with a splash of ginger beer.
