Begin by selecting and pre-chilling an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a garnish by twisting a strip of lemon zest and setting aside a Luxardo Maraschino cherry.

Cut a fresh passion fruit in half and scoop the seeds and flesh from both halves into your cocktail shaker.

Add the blended Scotch whisky, honey herbal liqueur, and your choice of Calvados, apple brandy, or straight applejack into the shaker. Shake the mixture vigorously with ice.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.

Express the lemon zest over the cocktail to release its oils, then discard the zest.

Finish by garnishing with the skewered maraschino cherry.
