Prepare a cocktail coupe by chilling it in advance.

Craft a garnish using a lemon zest twist and a skewered Luxardo Maraschino cherry.

Combine the cognac, blended Scotch whisky, freshly squeezed lemon juice, grenadine or pomegranate syrup, rich sugar syrup, egg white or its alternatives, and a dash of Angostura Aromatic Bitters. If desired, add a few drops of saline solution or a pinch of salt.

Regal shake the mixture with ice, then strain it back into the shaker.

Dry shake the mixture, this time without ice, to emulsify.

Fine strain the cocktail into the pre-chilled coupe glass.

Express the lemon zest twist over the drink to release its oils, then discard the twist.

Finish with the skewered maraschino cherry as a garnish.
