Select a highball glass and, if desired, moisten the rim and coat it with fine sugar.

Combine all the ingredients, except the grenadine, in a shaker filled with ice.

Shake vigorously until well chilled, then strain the mixture into the prepared highball glass.

Add crushed ice to the glass, then gently pour in the grenadine for a layered effect.

Garnish with a physalis for a tropical touch.
