Combine the rye whiskey, freshly squeezed lemon juice, simple syrup, absinthe, and egg white in a shaker. Dry shake vigorously without ice to emulsify the egg white.

Add ice to the shaker and shake again until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.

Fine-strain the cocktail into a chilled cocktail coupe.

Garnish with an Angostura bitters swirl for an aromatic finish.
