Karkade (Sudanese Hibiscus Tea)

Rinse the dried hibiscus flowers in cold water to clean them.

Boil some water and add the hibiscus flowers.

Simmer the mixture until the water turns a deep red.

Strain out the hibiscus petals and stir in the sugar while the tea is still warm.

Allow the tea to cool, then refrigerate it and serve over ice in a heat-resistant glass.
