Black Basil

Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill a highball glass to ensure optimal serving temperature.

Prepare a fresh basil leaf to use as a garnish.

Muddle the basil leaves at the base of a shaker.

Add the vodka, limoncello, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and rich sugar syrup to the shaker. Shake vigorously with ice to combine and chill the ingredients.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled, ice-filled highball glass while simultaneously pouring in the tonic water to blend the flavors.

Garnish with the prepared basil leaf for an aromatic finish.
