Chill a cocktail coupe by filling it with ice water.

Combine cognac, sweet vermouth, Amaro Nardini, and herbal liqueur in a mixing glass.

Add several dashes of bitters.

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.

Empty the cocktail coupe of ice water and strain the mixture into the chilled glass.

Garnish with an orange twist by expressing its oils over the surface of the drink and placing it on the rim or in the glass.
