Select and pre-chill a champagne flute.

Prepare a garnish of physalis (cape gooseberry) or a quarter slice of orange.

Shake the vodka, triple sec, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and rich sugar syrup with ice.

Strain the mixture into the chilled champagne flute while simultaneously pouring in the ginger ale.

Garnish with either the physalis or the orange slice on the rim of the glass.
