Rum & Rye Sour

Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a lemon zest twist for garnish.

Shake the rum, rye whiskey, Tawny Port, freshly squeezed lemon juice, rich sugar syrup, Angostura bitters, and egg white (or Fee Foam) with ice.

Strain the mixture back into the shaker.

Dry shake the cocktail without ice.

Fine strain into the pre-chilled Old Fashioned glass filled with ice.

Express the lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use it as a garnish.
