Chill a martini glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the cocktail.
Combine the Japanese whisky, apple brandy, bianco vermouth, and Bénédictine in a mixing glass.
Add a dash of Angostura bitters to the mixing glass.
Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir until well-chilled.
Empty the martini glass and strain the mixture into it.
Garnish with a twist of lemon peel, expressing the oils over the drink before gently placing it on top.
