Freeman's Cocktail

Chill a martini glass to prepare it for serving.

Combine the rye, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.

Add a dash of orange bitters and the pomegranate molasses to the shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously to mix and chill the ingredients.

Strain the concoction into the chilled martini glass.

Garnish with a flamed orange twist, releasing its oils over the surface of the drink for an aromatic finish.
