Prepare an orange zest twist for the garnish.

Shake the bourbon whiskey, Dubonnet or other rouge light quinquina, and sweetened cranberry juice with ice until well chilled.

Fine strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.

Express the orange zest twist over the cocktail to release its oils and use it as a garnish.
