Use honey syrup made with 3 parts honey to 1 part water by weight for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a garnish by slicing half of an orange into a wheel.

Combine the akvavit, aromatized wine, Cointreau, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and honey syrup in a shaker with ice.

Shake vigorously to chill and mix.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled Old Fashioned glass filled with crushed ice.

Garnish with the prepared orange slice wheel.
