Chill an Old Fashioned glass to prepare it for serving.

Combine the Island single malt Scotch whisky, Italian red bitter liqueur, Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth, and ginger liqueur in a mixing glass.

Add ice to the mixing glass and stir the mixture thoroughly until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass filled with ice, ideally over a large ice ball or cube.
