Rinse an Old Fashioned glass with absinthe to prepare the vessel.

In a mixing glass, combine the rye, Jamaican rum, Gran Classico, and Crème de Banane.

Add ice and stir the mixture until well-chilled.

Strain the cocktail into the prepared Old Fashioned glass over a large cube or sphere of ice.

Express the oils from an orange peel over the drink and use it as a garnish.
