Hot Exotic Caipirinha

Cut the lime into eighths and place it in a Double Old Fashioned glass with the cane sugar. Muddle gently with a wooden muddler to release the lime's juices.

Add the pomegranate seeds and lightly muddle them together with the lime mixture.

Warm the cachaça and pour it into the glass.

Top the drink with hot water, then add the passion fruit. Stir well to combine all the flavors.
