China Clipper

Start with these components prepared in advance: Simple syrup (Five Spice infused, see note).

Chill a martini glass in preparation for serving.

Combine the gold rum, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and Five Spice infused simple syrup in a cocktail shaker.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.

Garnish with a twist of lemon peel to enhance the aroma and presentation.
