Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.
Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.
Prepare a garnish of thyme and basil sprigs.
Muddle the basil leaves in the base of a shaker.
Add the reposado tequila, elderflower liqueur, rich sugar syrup, and freshly squeezed lime juice to the shaker. Shake vigorously with ice.
Fine strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.
Garnish with thyme and basil sprigs.
