Savory Smash

Muddle the red bell pepper slices and basil leaves in the honey syrup and freshly squeezed lemon juice in your mixing tin.

Add the rye and a generous amount of ice to the tin.

Shake the mixture briskly to chill and combine.

Double strain the cocktail into an Old Fashioned glass.

Float the Cynar on top of the drink.

Garnish with additional slices of red bell pepper and fresh basil leaves.
