Two Islands

Chill a cocktail coupe by filling it with ice and setting it aside.

In a mixing glass, combine the Scotch, Islay Scotch, Averna, and sweet vermouth.

Add a dash of orange bitters to the mixing glass.

Fill the mixing glass with ice and stir well until the mixture is thoroughly chilled.

Discard the ice from the cocktail coupe, then strain the cocktail into the glass.

Garnish with a star anise before serving.
