Chill an Old Fashioned glass in advance to ensure optimal serving temperature.

Prepare a twist of orange zest to use as a garnish later.

Stir the bourbon whiskey, straight rye whiskey, Grand Marnier or other cognac orange liqueur, Bénédictine D.O.M. liqueur, Carpano Antica Formula Vermouth, and mole bitters with ice until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the prepared Old Fashioned glass filled with ice, ideally using a large cube or block of ice for a slow melt.

Express the orange zest twist over the cocktail to release its aromatic oils, then place it elegantly in the glass as a garnish.
