Start with these components prepared in advance: Gentian liqueur Gentian liqueur (e.g. Suze, Avèze, Salers) (infused with coffee beans).

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare an orange slice wheel for garnish.

Stir the gentian liqueur infused with coffee beans, cachaça, calvados, and Angostura Aromatic Bitters with ice.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass, preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice.

Garnish with the prepared orange slice wheel.
