Honey Deuce (Difford's version)

Use honey syrup made with 3 parts honey to 1 part water by weight for its listed portion.

Select a highball glass and ensure it is pre-chilled. Prepare a garnish by skewering three melon balls.

Shake the vodka, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and honey syrup with ice until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled highball glass filled with fresh ice, simultaneously pouring in the soda water.

Drizzle the black raspberry liqueur over the cocktail, allowing it to elegantly bleed through as it sinks.

Garnish with the skewered melon balls for a finishing touch.
