Chill a cocktail coupe by filling it with ice and setting it aside.

In a cocktail shaker, combine the cognac, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and tangerine juice.

Add the ginger liqueur and tangerine simple syrup to the shaker.

Incorporate the listed 2 dashes Peychauds bitters to enhance the blend.

Fill the shaker with ice and shake vigorously until well-chilled.

Discard the ice from the coupe, then strain the mixture into the glass.

Garnish with a twist of tangerine peel, releasing its oils over the drink to finish.
