Stir the gin, grappa, and bitters with pre-chilled strong coffee. Ensure the coffee is a medium roast with balanced acidity, prepared using a melior or French press, not espresso. Blend these ingredients with ice until well chilled. Strain the mixture into a Duralex cafe glass tumbler or a small highball glass. Optionally, add a large ice cube and garnish with a lemon peel if desired.
