Begin by adding a pinch of salt to the mixing glass, reserving the other pinch for optional garnishing or rimming the glass.

Add Cynar 70, sweet vermouth, coffee liqueur, lemon juice, and Fee Brothers Black Walnut bitters to the mixing glass.

Stir the mixture thoroughly to chill and combine the ingredients.

Strain the cocktail into a chilled cocktail coupe.

If using a large ice cube, place it in the glass; alternatively, you can rim a quarter of the glass with salt or sprinkle the reserved pinch of salt over the ice cube for garnish.

Finish by garnishing with a twist of lemon peel.
