Silent treatment

Chill a cocktail coupe by filling it with ice and setting it aside.

In a mixing glass, combine the mezcal and elderflower liqueur.

Add ice to the mixing glass and stir until well chilled.

Empty the ice from the cocktail coupe, then strain the mixture into the glass.

Garnish with a twist of lime peel, expressing its oils over the drink before placing it in.
