Edison's Medicine cocktail

Chill a cocktail coupe in advance to ensure the drink remains perfectly cold.

Select a fresh basil leaf and set it aside for garnish.

Combine the basil leaves, cachaça, yellow Chartreuse or génépy liqueur, freshly squeezed lime juice, and agave syrup in a shaker.

Add ice to the shaker and shake the mixture vigorously until well-chilled.

Fine strain the cocktail into the pre-chilled coupe glass.

Float the reserved basil leaf on top of the cocktail as a garnish.
