Chill an Old Fashioned Glass by filling it with ice water while you prepare the drink.
Add mezcal, Aperol, sweet vermouth, and dry vermouth to a mixing glass filled with ice.
Stir the mixture thoroughly until well-chilled.
Empty the Old Fashioned Glass of its ice water, and strain the mixture into the glass.
