Chill a cocktail coupe glass in preparation for serving.

Prepare an orange zest twist for garnish.

Shake the bourbon whiskey, triple sec liqueur, overproof aged pot still rum, freshly squeezed orange juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, rich sugar syrup, and the optional saline solution or pinch of salt with ice.

Fine strain the mixture into the chilled coupe glass.

Express the oils from the flamed orange zest twist over the cocktail and use it as a garnish.
