Watermelon Basil High

Start with these components prepared in advance: Simple syrup (Rosemary thyme infused).

Rim an Old Fashioned glass with a blend of salt and pepper, then fill it with ice.

Muddle the watermelon and basil gently, taking care not to over-muddle.

Add the vodka, rosemary thyme-infused simple syrup, and freshly squeezed lemon juice to the muddled mixture.

Shake the mixture with ice until well chilled.

Double strain the cocktail into the prepared, ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.

Garnish with a chunk of watermelon and two basil leaves for a fresh and aromatic finish.
