Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill an Double Old Fashioned Glass.

Prepare a garnish of seasonal berries and set it aside, ready to serve with a straw.

Shake the Tawny Port, Cognac, freshly squeezed lemon juice, and rich sugar syrup with ice until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled glass filled with crushed ice.
