Smokey Old Fashioned

Combine the rye, water, maple syrup, and bitters in a mixing glass.

Add smoke using a smoking gun, preferably with oak chips, to infuse the mixture.

Let the cocktail rest for a couple of minutes to absorb the smoky essence.

Serve over a large ice cube in an Old Fashioned glass.
