Use 2:1 rich simple syrup for its listed portion.

Select and pre-chill a martini glass.

Prepare a garnish by twisting a strip of lemon zest.

Muddle the fresh raspberries in the base of a cocktail shaker.

Add cranberry-flavored vodka, Giffard Crème de Framboise, sweetened cranberry juice, freshly squeezed lemon juice, rich sugar syrup, and a grind of black pepper to the shaker.

Shake vigorously with ice.

Fine strain the mixture into the chilled martini glass.
