The Red and The Black

Start with these components prepared in advance: Simple syrup (Black pepper infused).

Moisten the rim of an Old Fashioned glass with a lemon wedge.

Coat the rim lightly with a mix of sugar, finely ground black pepper, and salt.

Muddle the strawberries at the bottom of the glass.

Add the black pepper-infused simple syrup, blanco tequila, and freshly squeezed lime juice to the glass.

Fill the glass with ice and stir gently to combine the ingredients.
