Humble Pie

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare skewered crystallized ginger for garnish.

Stir the Calvados or apple brandy, blended Scotch whisky, ginger syrup, pimento dram or allspice liqueur, Angostura Aromatic Bitters and the listed black pepper with ice until well chilled.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass.

Garnish with the skewered crystallized ginger.
