Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a garnish of skewered green olive and grapefruit wedge.

Stir the Italicus liqueur, freshly squeezed pink grapefruit juice, and saline solution or a pinch of salt with ice.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass while simultaneously pouring in the soda water.

Garnish with the grapefruit wedge and skewered olive.
