Stir the Scotch with Fernet Branca over ice until well chilled.
In an Old Fashioned glass, muddle a sugar cube with a few dashes of Peychaud's Bitters to dissolve the sugar.
Rinse the Old Fashioned glass with absinthe to coat its interior, then discard any excess.
