Add the vodka, brown crème de cacao, and freshly squeezed lemon juice to a shaker with ice cubes and shake vigorously. Strain the mixture through a cocktail strainer into a Martini glass over fresh ice cubes. Express a piece of orange or lemon peel over the drink and serve immediately.
