Chill a white wine glass by filling it with ice while you prepare the cocktail.

In a mixing glass, combine the gin, triple sec, and freshly squeezed lemon juice.

Add ice to the mixing glass to chill the ingredients thoroughly.

Stir the mixture until well chilled and properly diluted.

Discard the ice from the white wine glass and strain the cocktail into it.
