Use these specified component styles: Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old).

Select and pre-chill an Old Fashioned glass.

Prepare a garnish of lemon zest twist.

Shake the light white rum, cherry liqueur, Fernet Branca, freshly squeezed lemon juice, Angostura Aromatic Bitters, and saline solution with ice.

Strain the mixture into the ice-filled Old Fashioned glass, preferably over a large cube or chunk of block ice.

Express the lemon zest twist over the cocktail and use it as a garnish.
