Prepare a garnish using a thin cucumber slice.

Stir the vodka, sake, and any optional ingredients, such as dry vermouth or gin, with ice until well-chilled.

Strain the mixture into the pre-chilled martini glass.

Garnish by floating the cucumber slice on the surface of the cocktail.
