Use these specified component styles: Light white rum (charcoal-filtered 1-4 years old).

Chill a cocktail coupe in advance to ensure optimal temperature.

Prepare a mint leaf for garnish.

Shake the light white rum, triple sec liqueur, Giffard Peppermint Pastille crème de menthe, freshly squeezed lime juice, and rich sugar syrup with ice until well chilled. If using, add Difford's Daiquiri bitters and a saline solution or a pinch of salt.

Fine strain the mixture into the pre-chilled cocktail coupe.

Garnish with a mint leaf, either floating on the cocktail or affixed to the rim with a small spot of honey.
